Dr Brian Conway

Dr. Brian Conway is the president and medical director of the Vancouver Infectious Diseases Centre and the Vancouver Urban Health Centre as well as an adjunct professor on the faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University.

 

Dr. Conway received his medical degree from McGill University and completed his internal medicine residency at the Royal Victoria Hospital. He then completed fellowships in infectious diseases at the University of Manitoba and in HIV/AIDS at Harvard University.

 

His group focuses on the development and evaluation of systems of care for inner city vulnerable populations, with an emphasis on HIV and HCV infections and addiction medicine. His medical research in the field of HIV has involved the measurement of HIV drug resistance, acute and early HIV infection, and simplified antiretroviral treatment regimens.
